We are currently experiencing some issues with the patch server, so patcher will be down until these problems are resolved. We hope to have it back up and running within the hour.
UPDATE: As it turned out, our patch server was completely dead and is now having its operating system reinstalled. Once we finish with this patcher will come back up.

The patcher is now running succesfully as far as I can tell, there is a small update for players to install. If players could continue to seed, it will improve update times for other players. Limiting your upload speed should not affect your gameplay too much.

I seem to be experiencing a problem, not sure if it’s related to this patcher outage. I’ve installed Dawntide and OpenAL, and now when I click play I get the following error message: Execution of command ‘”dtgame_player.exe”–patcher_checked’ failed (error 216: unknown error d8)

Disregard my previous comment, I re-ran as Admin and the problem now appears to be solved.

From now on you will be prompted by UAC for elevation when installing PhysX/DirectX/OpenAL so running patcher as admin should not be necessary. Please report any other issues on IRC or redmine.
