I`m just kind of wondering.. What kinds of people play DT? How old is the average player in RL on here? It just came to mind. I`m guessing it`s more of an adult player game, though.

I like it how the old-dish players that are over there 30 something are sort of avoiding there ages like it is a sin on gaming, my father and a couple of his mates in there 60′s play online and offline titles and are having a ball doing it. myself in my later 30′s, well hell 37 if you must know, have been playing online competitively and overall for about 10 years. i have friends and family that play from the ages of 7 through to 64 which i think is the oldest player that i know of, whether being FPS to MMO’s , or fast paced to the average grind, we all have fun if the title has a good story behind it. And if the players we around are playing fairly. Don’t be scared of want age you are, games break all boundaries of age.

Ok I’ll answer more directly, I am 36 :)

I agree, age doesn’t matter. I have had guildies that were in their 60’s, had a few of them in Perpetuum. Gaming will probably be my hobby after I retire to so that will be me someday.

Well I`m 12.
I am really mature for my age though, in school I have a 12.9 reading level (12th grader in the 9th month of school) I hope it doesn`t make you guys treat me any different, though, because I wanna enjoy the game and RPing as much as you guys do, no matter how old I am! I also agree, age really doesn`t matter when it comes to gaming. I play other MMORPGs like WoW, too, so (: Thanks for all the coments you guys!

It is a sad fact, from my perspective, that the younger generations are actually better equiped to RP in a game. The lack of real life experience sometimes allows the younger mind to flourish in terms of “living in a fantasy world” where imagination can be a powerful attribute. To often older generations have habitually learnt to follow preset rule systems or find it hard to think outside the box.

SO a combination of age groups in a community is a good thing.
