Is it just me who is worried a little bit about the lack of forum activity? Especially this close to release? I guess I’m not that better myself to post, but are all waiting for the dev’s to give us the content for release? It just feels like Dawntide is sleeping, but hopefully behind the curtains there’s is a lot going on. Or is it? *evil laugh* |

Well I have personally been out of game for over a week due to technical issues, but I assume lots of people are waiting for the combat upgrades before playing a huge amount. With a server wipe coming not many people want to invest days into building a town or a boat when its already been tested thoroughly and will be destroyed at release. There are still new players downloading and looking at the game however. A few dedicated testers are still working on smaller projects such as the testing of combat skills resistances and runecrafting but theses are likely to be ongoing even after release just due to the limited time left and the number of players actively testing in a focused manner. I am sure that the combat updates will bring lots of players back to the beta up until release as pvp is going to be a large aspect of the finished game. The Dev team are around in IRC but their lack of forums activity is not down to lack of work. You can see Rari is still managing the assignment of bug reports on a daily basis. I am sure that behind the scenes everyone is very busy. If you have any questions feel free to ask, as I tend to check the forums several times a day, and if you find any issues please submit a bug report there is no harm in duplicates :D HTH |
