Considering they have worked for years on this, and it is not nearly a outdated game, I don`t think they should just yet, as they still have a chance to bring it back if they can get funding.

What I don’t get, is why won’t they start a kick starter or do something like steam green light to gain support for this game. |

I believe they are not located in the United States. Kickstarter needs something like either a U.S. Citizenship, or a US Street Address, and I think there was a third one. Mostly though, I looked at Kickstarter, and they’re only for United States/ United Kingdom right now. |

Dawntide was previously funded by private investment afaik and there would be legal implications for a kickstarter type method of funding. Effectively WAI would need to restructure somehow to allow for the previous investors to maintain there portion of the company. International legislation further complicates issues with regards to “ownership” and I am sure Wiz has explored many avenues. I am still monitoring the website on a regular basis and will update if I get any new information. |

As a brief update, I have been in contact with Wiz today via email and he is still in talks with interested parties. The details are obviously not public information, and I would hate to ask any sensitive questions. At this stage there is no news to post but I am sure Wiz will keep the website updated as and when it is possible. HTH |

That is good news Pathy, hope to troll you in game if they get funding :P It would be a shame for such a great game, to never been given a chance.

Played the beta back then, just read the whole roadmap again. Its so sad to see this game on hiatus, but im happy to hear that people are still trying to find an investor :) |

It would be nice if u start the servers… We(community) dont need developement at the moment, we only need a nice game like dawntide. Why the servers are offline? Because nobody develop on the game? It’s no problem for me… It seems that u dont find a investor. Please short our time with online servers. It would be nice… Another solution would be community servers. Please think about it before it’s to late. Thank you… |
