Not yet, it would do more harm to publish a date and have to move it due to problems. Bettter to wait until a confirmed date can be made public, and then nobody gets dissapointed. |

GMPathy, I just want to submit this one concern I have, and that is that the development team doesn’t seem very serious about PR efforts. Their initial December wipe update said that they would post a news update (possibly with screenshots) every week, but there haven’t been regular updates at all. One would think that during such a transition, the developers would like to keep their potential customers hooked, but they seem content with this kind of apathetic perception. Same thing with the Facebook page. I’m not one who even cares so much about this kind of stuff – it is ready when it’s ready – but these kinds of things go a long way in keeping the community together and building a trusting and working relationship with the customers. And this isn’t exactly a Bioware or Blizzard production where the developers could very well just not say anything at all and nobody would care. This kind of independent game needs a strong developer relation and leadership to affirm people’s faith that this isn’t just another flash-in-the-pan game. |

Bastiat, I think GMPathy is doing a good job keeping the Community Alive.. the Developer owe GMPathy big time. if it wasn’t for this forum with an active community i would have just walk away. And the thing is i almost agree with Bastiat with everything he said. |

Patience is a virtue. I don’t care how long it takes. Just make it awesome. |

According to the update on the world reconstruction project the screenshots are held back due to a problem with implementing the new terrain. But I agree they should have done at least a quick update every week to let people know how things are going even if there was no screenshots or considerable progress (even a one liner, like “we are making progress on this and this and this, we are having difficulties with this and this and this, check back next week.” would have been better than nothing). And btw that update I just mentioned is hard to notice.

Well as I am a volunteer I cannot make official comments or statements, and I have no information to release. I must remind people that the team is VERY small, and that everyone is very busy with their own areas of responsibilty. I shall pass on the concerns to Rari/Wiz, whichever I speak to first. |

It would be good to know when everything starts – to promote Dawntide on mmorpg forums, so more people would wait for it. |

Right now development is on hiatus while we’re sorting out various issues. We expect to get it back going soon, and will post some news and screenshots when we do. |
