Patch 3.15
Patch Notes
Wednesday, July 28, 2010 - 16:45
  • Improved coin drops from many monsters
  • Fixed - Redware Plate recipe was producing Redware Bowls.
  • Fixed the stacked-up skeleton spawns in the graveyard
  • Wayfarer's Ati quest reward significantly improved
  • Significantly revamped the way skills are gained. Instead of gaining skill experience until the bar fills up and gaining 0.1 skill points, you will now gain skill experience as before when performing skills, and that skill experience will translate into skill gain over time. A full skill experience bar represents an average of 10 skill points and will take around 16 hours to be fully converted into skill gain. Experience is converted into skill gain even when your character is offline. The purpose of this system is to allow players to reduce the need for grinding, to reward players for training several different skills at once, and to put an effective cap on a player's daily skill gain to prevent people from macro-mastering a skill in just a few days.
  • Your proficency in a recipe will no longer affect how much skill experience you gain from it. You will now gain skill from a recipe as normal until it is trivial (proficency 100% and your skill is above its trivial skill) at which point you will not gain any skill from it
  • A recipe's trivial skill (base difficulty) will now affect how much skill experience you gain from it, with harder recipes giving more experience
  • Endurance no longer affects skill gain, and will instead go down from fighting, running, swimming and jumping. A low endurance will lower your focus and SFB gain rate.
  • Items in player-built containers can now only be accessed by the player who placed it (in next patch, containers not placed in residences will be accessible by the faction owning the area)
  • All player controlled areas are now no-PVP and will be no-PVP until conquest mechanics and guards are introduced
  • NPCs killed by other NPCs (except pets) will no longer leave corpses
  • Bandits spawns in the camp outside Burgvik are spread out a bit more
