Unfortunately Pixel Shader 3.0 is a requirement to play Dawntide and many other games, so yes, if you want to play the game you will need to upgrade your graphics card.

I posted that comment on the Facebook page, which I have since edited to say that we’ll be releasing in 2012, which is more open than my initial statement (and thus, more accurate).
