Dragons
No warrior is as sure in courage as one who seeks to fight a dragon. No warrior is as ruined as the enemy of a dragon, millennia-lived, desperate for diversion, quite willing to amuse itself with the torture and consumption of the courageous warrior's entire family line. Dragons are smarter and bigger and stronger and older than we are, and they fly and breathe fire or worse.
Planning to attack a dragon's lair is a huge decision, the kind ye can't reverse. All that said? They're just people. Smart, big, old, powerful, scaly people, but people nonetheless. They can be exactly as noble--and as petty and cruel--as people can, for all the same reasons. You can lie to 'em, you can trick 'em. Just be careful to heed the courageous warrior's example: dragon grudges live as long as dragons do, sometimes longer.
